An obstacle course made from a giant keyboard, where each kind of key does something different.
A keyboard obby you can play anywhere
This keyboard obby opens in a browser tab: no download, no sign-up, nothing to install. Play it on a desktop PC or laptop, on a school Chromebook, or on your phone or tablet. While you're connected, the server keeps your progress for you.
Every key is an obstacle
The course is built from keycaps, and the keys underfoot decide how you have to move:
- DEL keys flash red, then give way about half a second after your feet land.
- ENTER keys throw you across gaps too wide to jump, and spring keys bounce you up a level.
- SHIFT keys give you a burst of extra speed for the longest jumps.
- CAPS keys blink on and off in two groups, so you hop on the beat.
- Arrow belts carry you along or shove you sideways toward the edge.
- BACK blocks sweep across the lane, and giant spacebars spin at knee height.
The obstacle key guide covers every key in the game, with a tip for each one.
Faster with every step
Most obbies keep you at one speed. In this one, every step you take on the keys raises your Speed, and a higher Speed carries you faster and opens the glass gate into the next room. Clear a room and you win a trophy; bank your trophies at base and every future step counts for more.
That makes this keyboard obby a mix of skill and grind. A hard room gets easier the next time, because you come back faster, and a wall you can't break today only needs a few more trips.
A keyboard ASMR game
This keyboard obby doubles as a keyboard ASMR game online: each step lands with a mechanical switch sound built from recordings of real keyboards. Creamy, Tactile and Clicky are yours from the start; Typewriter, Jelly and Glass are earned as you play. Turn the sound up: it is half the fun.
Play with friends
Copy a room link from the menu and send it to a friend to run in the same room. Up to 24 players share a room, with crowns for the three fastest and emotes for celebrating at the top. Playing with friends explains rooms, replays and challenges, and the tips page helps with the hardest rooms.
